Morgan Freeman has a very good USP as he is all ways seen for his calm body language and his unique voice that people can tell its him from the first moment he speaks. Many production company's would love to have Morgan Freeman perform in their films as he is the kind of actor that appeals to all types of people around the world.

Awards

Morgan Freeman has won and been nominated for a number of awards over the years, he has been nominated by Academy for the best actor for both Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption and Street Smart. He won best supporting actor for Million Dollar Baby in 2004. In the same year he was nominated by Golden Globe for the same role he in Million Dollar Baby. They also nominated him for the best actor in The Shawshank Redemption, unlike the Academy Awards he won best actor in Driving Miss Daisy.

Performances

The quality of the performance and the experience that come with Morgan Freeman is shown in each and evrey role he stars, he nothing short of amazing. At the age of 71 Morgan Freeman stil gives evrey thing he can to the role which has lead him to become one of the most respected actors in Hollywood today.

As Morgan Freeman always portays the father fiqure, wise person, someone who alot of people in the film goes to, he is mainly the main character in the film alowing him to get the most out of his role, and as a loving father these roles have a huge advantage to him as it allows him to take information and experiences of his own life and put it into the character he has become.

The Rise of Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman is a brilliant actor who's calm demeanour and authoritative voice is a major part in this actors presents in films. Morgan Freeman is a very well known African American who has grown into one of the most respected black actors in modern cinema. Born in Memphis, Tennessee Morgan Freeman got his first big break on the TV staring as sevral characters including Easy Reader, Mel Mounds, and Count Dracula on the Children's Television Workshop.

For most of the 70's Morgan Freeman appeared in a number of roles in diffrent fims such as,' The Electric Company (1971), Blade (1973), he played Casca in Julius Caesar (1979/II), he then played Coriolanus in Coriolanus(1979). In 1981 he played Malcom X for the last 24hours of his life in The death of a Prophet.

For most of the 80's Morgan Freeman continued to stand out in film which varied in there quality, which earned him an Oscar nomination for his portray of a merciless hoodlum in _Street Smart (1987), after which he earned himself a second Oscar nomination for Driving Miss Daisy.

For my Auteur project I decided to choose Morgan Freeman the reason for choosing Morgan Freeman is because I believe that he is a great actor and he can act in different ways according to his character in the film.

Mainly I want to focus on the way he portrays a father figure in his films, I think that he's emotions and the way he acts preset him as a good father figure and I want to look closely how he becomes a good father figure.
